| Interesting thing you mentioning a pigeon. In a short span of time, prior to me being hospitalized, a pigeon showed up one morning on one of the ranches. I had pulled a tractor up to refuel it by the fuel storage tank. After finishing I put the hose and nozzle back and then turned around to walk back to the tractor. A pigeon had landed on a front fender while my back was turned. I managed to catch it and put it on top of a lean-to so no coyotes or other varmints could catch it. Periodically I checked on it and brought some food and water out. After a few days it disappeared. Then a month or so later another pigeon showed up at a different location approximately twelve to fifteen miles apart from the first. That pigeon would fly down inside the shop and watch me work on things. I fed and watered it as well. All was good until an aggravating cow dog tried to catch it despite all my efforts to protect the bird. It flew away and never came back after that. | |
