NE Iowa | Just had that convo with my daughter. She has very little clue about farming. She and her husband are expecting their first child and are trying to figure out a financially sound way for her to stay at home to raise their daughter. She asked me about Dave Ramsey. I told her his principles might apply to lots of people, but his 'avoid debt at all costs' is a joke among the farming crowd. Same could pretty much be said for many small business owners. Was a good convo with her to help her see the bigger picture that you can get financial advice from lots of places, but you have to be smart enough to sort the wheat from the chaff and what fits right for your situation. | |
