| I will be the odd man out here. I bought a 2 year old f250 4x4 with 3500 miles on it. Bought warranty for 7 years 100,000 miles. It cost $1995 and was a higher up package with $100 deductible. Had the truck for 48,000 miles and on the sixth year of warranty when the power steering pump went out. Took it to the dealer and they had a list from inspecting it of over $6000. Tie rod ends, front hubs, power steering parts, and needs brakes. OK I said and wrote a check for the brakes and $100 for the deductile and said I bought the warranty from you its your baby now. They fixed it but didn't get everything right. I was stuck checking fields cause the new hubs weren't locking in. Gunned it in 2wd and was sliding all of a sudden the 4wd kicked in with the steering wheel turned hard. Made a loud bang and the power steering was gone again. They fixed that but it took 4 more times to the shop to get the 4wd working right. One part was $2800. I can't imagine that total bill was less than $10000. | |
