I've worn orthotic insoles for years, but that didn't stop the heel pain. Had X rays done and was told there was a noticeable bone spur growing.

They look just too simple, cheap ($29.95) and stupid to work, but after a couple months the pain was gone. I still wear my custom orthotics most of the time, but if I feel heel pain starting, I switch to the heel inserts until it subsides.
