I plant soybeans first for a couple days. Then when conditions improve (dry out) I start planting both at the same time. Beans seem more adaptable early and more bang for your buck (risk). But when the calendar, Conditions and weather line up, I plant as much corn as I can.

With hindsight maybe should have switched to corn a day or two earlier but usually the window to plant corn in good conditions at the right time is is more open than it has been in 2024. As all of us gamblers know well, Sometimes the odds go against you.
