I was going through some photo albums today and ran across this photo from the fall of '87. We had to transfer corn from a 10,000 bushel bin to our machine shed and didn't want to haul it 200 bushels at a time with our gravity boxes. We went from a C Allis Chalmers on a 56' Kewanee auger to an electric 32' Speed King auger, to a 56' Koyker auger powered by a friends B John Deere into a 45' Minneapolis Moline flight elevator powered by a WD45, and finally into 54' Speed King electric auger. The things we used to do to get by!
