LED also have an effect on human health. I am not sure of the specifics of the cause but I get very sick if I am subjected to certain types of LED light installations. Most LEDs I am fine with, including the ones in my home. I know of 3 local businesses that I almost cannot enter anymore after they switched to LED bulbs due to how dizzy and sick I get from the flickering. Most people cannot see the flickering.

I get so annoyed when I'm around bulbs like that. I used to get headaches frequently at my mom's house, until I eventually realized that she had installed a single "daylight" LED bulb that was flickering, in a light fixture that also had "warm white" LEDs in it. I removed that bulb in particular, and the headaches stopped. I suspect that the flicker is because of cheaply-manufactured LEDs or drivers/inverters, but I really don't know that for sure.
