Being a church member, you already know that life as we know it here on earth is not the end but just the beginning.

It is hard for me as a human to even grasp what eternity is. It is beyond my comprehension. I can kind of get the concept but not totally understand it. Our lifetimes in the present isn't even a blip in eternity. Look at how long her spriit will live on!

So the bright side of earthly death for Christians is it is not the end, but only the beginning. Think of it that way and have faith that you will also be there some day. It is something to look forward to.
