Your right electric ball valves would be the best solution. I didn’t want to spend the money for a 3 point hitch back up sprayer. I was also thinking along those lines if I should move the power supplies to isolate them more. Currently I have a small auxiliary fuse panel tied into the accessory power circuit in the cab. I have two 18” power wires coming from the panel. One feeds the rate controller circuit board/ nano. The other feeds the relay panel to power the solenoids.
This has been a neat project. AgopenGps also supports variable rate with this rate controller. One guy on there was driving his planter with an electric motor controlled by the rate controller. That is where I would like to ultimately end up. You can also control up to 5 products, so I could put in a second rate controller to control the pop up at the same time.
I am no electronics whiz, but I am just following instructions and working though a few little problems. I would like to learn how to write the code used in the arduinos. There are so many useful projects you could make if I knew how to write the code. Like your batch totaller.
