Central Illinois | A post several months ago asked about JCB wheel loaders with the extendable boom. We like it and find it easy to use in lots and around buildings. Lift capacity is very good. I found out NOT to extend the boom with a heavy load while traveling fast or making sudden stops. A full bucket or several bales should be carried low, boom in the short position and slow, as with any loader work. I am still learning how to run this machine. I have only run 2WD tractors with loaders since I started farming.
Issue
We did purchase this TM320 used and it has a recuring def problem. The engine will derate as code P204F-9A occurs and it will not let the machine go into stationary regen. Code P2BA8-00 will come up next and again it will not regenerate. I have noticed the temperature gage is not fully vertical and the book states the operating temperature has to be achieved before regen will take place. We have stumped the service department because they can't work the JCB hard enough to achieve regen at the shop. Anyone have this issue? What repair fixed this problem?
In order to finish the job and get the unit back home, I shut the engine off. After the def pump finishes it's cycle, I turn the battery disconnect to off. I may have to restart the engine and repeat this procedure. Then the engine functions as it should. TIA for your suggestions. | |
