Subject: RE: Tornado damage to tractor

East of Broken Bow
There was one not far from here a few years ago, did damage to grain bins. A few of us neighbors got together to help empty the bin before the corn inside went bad as the roof was damaged on 2 bins. One was almost empty, the other almost full. The almost empty bin had the sweep auger probably 3/4 of the way around. The owner of the bin asked me if I saw what happened to his shovel. I said no. Part of it was sticking out from under the bin slab. Seems he leaned the shovel against the outside of the bin when he was done loading his truck, and the bin, and the slab got lifted up high enough that the shovel got shoved under the slab (and did not blow away). I wish I had my phone on me at the time, as it would have been a heck of a picture, just half of a shovel head sticking out from under the concrete. Lifted it straight up, and fell straight down. Had a drying floor inside, so no idea if it broke the slab or not.
ETA: The auger on the other side of the bin, maybe 20 feet away from it, was just fine, not even a scratch on it.
