We are in a somewhat urban area of St. Louis. We have a couple tracts neighboring subdivisions. Certainly if we can't do a 1031, the incentive to sell for housing will go away. Or they will have to pay that much more for it which will increase the cost of housing as if it could get more expensive. I wouldn't mind paying more in taxes if we had responsible politicians to manage it.
If we had responsible politicians managing tax money, we wouldn’t need to pay more in taxes.
