Douglass Kansas

How thick was it planted?

Are best whole farm average was in a year where some corn was planted into moisture and some was not. 80 to 90 percent came up without a rain. First rain was about 5 weeks after planting so there was about 4 weeks different in emergent timing. Later emerging corn was scattered throughout the fields, but it was common to have a few right next to each other in the row. Later emerging got a foot taller, but could not tell a difference in ear size. Most of this corn was planted at 24000. I believe that when corn is planted thicker emergent timing is more important.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.
