Hooker Twp,Ne | Yep remember when technology was getting off the planter tractor at least twice if not four times an hour and turning the press wheels on the mounted dempster lister to make sure every row was planting. And with saddle tanks on the tractor full of water and ramrod/atrazine. Had to mix that ramrod in a 5 gallon bucket first. Spray was in a band behind the row so it would stay clean so a go-dig could get through and then after that mounted rowcrop cultivator would throw the dirt out against the plant. Yep them were the fun days sitting underneath the umbrella mounted on the tractor and 100 degrees outside.———- I prefer my cab tractor with air conditioning and monitor telling me what’s going on. | |
