Central NY
Do it no till all the time here on most of the corn acres. Plant green or will spray a few days before or after planting.
Big things for us is having it be well drained ground When planting early, or wait until the long term forecast is ideal if it’s a marginal field, nitrogen on the planter, and insecticide with the burndown. We see very little yield difference versus clean fields planted into bare dirt if it’s timed right and managed properly. I’ve had some ugly corn experiences with it but learn the timing and conditions needed for each soil type. Some are more forgiving than others.
