C IL

In March my WeatherTrends forecast said the weather would suck until May 20th with hardly a day above 70F and not heavy but frequent rain for my region starting with the Easter rain and cooldown.

I found that hard to believe but we worked down 80% of the acres before Easter and put on spring gas.

A few pockets have opened up and a few acres are planted here and there but that has largely been true so far.  Plenty of acres burned down.  Several fields of soybeans stale seed bedded into last year’s disked ground.  Some corn planted on lighter hillsides.

I guess we will see.  As someone said, lots of cultivators and planters just waiting for a few dry days to roll.
