But is the welder plug rated for outdoor use?
I can point you to a bin fire where insurance didn't want to pay because it was caused by in indoor rated welder plug corroding and shorting out because it was used in an outdoor situation.
Thinking about it, I think they 'settled' for a lessor payment, and no longer would insure him.
