Subject: Rain posts are silly

I haven't gauged rain for 30 years. Not sure why the trend of gauging rain even began? I can't change how much I received or Champaign County received so why does it matter?

I have a local guy that asks me how much I received every rain. Every single time I tell him, "I haven't gauged rain in 30 years." And he proceeds to tell me to the hundredths how much he received. And he doesn't even farm. It's like he thinks it's a contest.
