Marion,ks | That wheat is done .I really doubt a rain would would make much of difference, probably shoot a very poor head. If it rains in May or early June the pigweeds will make it unharvestable. The folks back east just to not understand Kansas. My dad was starting farming in the mid 1950s they raised wheat those years but bascally all the summer crops ended up being cattle feed. We have to realize back then 20 bushel wheat was good. The drought back then lasted 5years. |
