I have heard stories about the 1950s drought that went on for basically seven years. There were a few years where they got just enough rain and snow to make a little wheat crop and grow a little feed but they sold the cattle or shipped them farther east in Kansas for the summer.

We are only in year three of this drought so I sure hope it doesn't last seven years.
