We got electric power in the fall of 1956. I was in grade one and riding my pony the 2.5 miles to school. One day on the way home I came across a fellow digging holes for the power poles. I visited with him for a few holes and was quite impressed with his ability to spot the survey stake for the next hole. The line was right on my route home from school and its still there.
