Subject: RE: A Last Look At The Elevator

Nw Iowa
They are always cool. We had one on one site and was glad to see it down. Every time I went up there I wondered if I would come back down due to a explosion. I know we had one electrical shutoff box on the main conveyor on top that would fill full of grain dust. You could go up there and clean and clean, 3 hrs later dust all over. In the mornings when I drove to the site a couple of miles away I always expected to see smoke. Happy day when it came down. In spite of all the wood, most of it if you could get all the nails out , it wasn’t the best quality and a lot of shorter boards. Nails were spikes and a spike every foot or so.
Rusty, that elevator has been photographed quite abit in the past hasn’t it? Looks very familiar.
