I use Smart Path this way to make 3 headland passes. Smart path needs to be on for the 1st pass and the IC needs to be recording your pass on the map.(planter or tillage map coverage) Can the turn around or make a complete loop around the field and it will steer on pass 2 and 3 just fine. Have used it with my NHS applicator also.


When I planted, I always made the the first Headland pass on one end and then turned around and planted the second Headland pass next. I then planted along a side and planted both Headland passes on the other Headland and returned along the 4th side. My Great Nephew prefers to make two complete loops around the entire field.

In this field he did a side pass, an outer Headland pass, the other side pass and the other outer Headland pass. He then did the second side pass which was fine. The second Headland pass was the problem.

Maybe the order in which the "sides" are done is important.
