Westport, IN | Sounds like its outside, I would find a way to get the hay up of the floor. Rainy spells and then the manure runs into the feeder. How high depends on how diligent you are on keeping it scraped out. We finally went to Klene Hay feeders and move them around when cleaning up. One advantage they have is we use the Hay savers to keep heads out of the way while pushing bales the length of the feeder. 30' might be a bit much to push though.

I thought they had longer ones, as ours is 12 foot and I know they made longer ones at that time.
