Pittsburg, Kansas | Our stay in Bonaire involved eating dinner at our friends house numerous times. At the end of the meal they would always offer us coffee, cappuccino, espresso or whatever. I'm so much of a country bumkin I didn't even know which was what, and eventually did a search so I could find out what the terms meant. Turns out cappuccino's are very tasty (they are very low carb like we are so use heavy cream frothed rather than milk in the cappuccino).
So anyway, long story getting longer, both wife and I have birthdays during our stay down there. Me being the lousy husband I am almost never get my wife anything for her birthday that I actually pick out myself. I ask her what she wants, she gets it, and we both seem to be happy with that arrangement.
So I ask her this year and she says an espresso machine like our friends have. And so be it. So the last few weeks we have been immersed in watching Youtube videos on espresso machines and expresso coffee grinders. Who would have thought. Definitely not me ten years ago. Espresso would have been not even on the list of things to think about.
Anyway to end this long story we have a shipment that will be in later this week with a very nice espresso machine and espresso coffee grinder. The reason I am writing all this out is to put a couple of links to a guy on Youtube I have came to appreciate on the subject. His name is James Hoffmann. I think he does some super presentations about coffee and various machines used to process coffee. I will link a couple of them.
So just in case there are any coffee aficionados out there, here is a guy that has some interesting information on the subject. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xb3IxAr4RCo

Talk about a rabbit hole to go down...................... An exceptionally DEEP rabbit hole! I couldn't even spell espresso or cappuccino before (still have to use the spell checker).
I'll try not to become more snooty than I already am. :-)
