Best to bale it early then it will make some nice hay after that, last year I turned it into balage in May, that worked well. I pasture and hay almost exclusively ditch banks and bottoms that can’t be farmed, RCG is everywhere.
I think it’s an acquired taste, my cows like it especially when everything else is burned up in august it’s always green and lush along the banks.
If you get tired of horsey people pestering you for hay give them a bale of RGC, they won’t be back | |
