E.Central MN | Back in about 1971 a girl from Russia was sponsored to visit relatives in Mpls. When she got here they weren't sure what she liked to eat so they took her shopping at the neighborhood Piggly Wiggly. The girl was convinced that it was a "govt propaganda" store because it was full of food unlike most stores in Russia. They took her to other grocery stores so she could see it was actually a normal grocery store. | |
