I was driving the tractor to pick up a piece of machinery I purchased and it came up with a TLPH error and went into limp mode. I shut the tractor off and restarted it and the error disappeared.
I'm finding since then that the speed display isn't registering properly on the dash. When the tractor is stationary the speed readout is 0.1km/h.
It will read between 0.1 and 0.2 until the tractor goes over 1km/h. Then it will read 1 up to 1.9km/h until I reach 11 km/h. It will read 11.0- 11.9 until I reach 21km/h and so on until 51km/h.
The tractor is a dyna VT, both speed sensors on the transmission have just been replaced.
I can take it out into the paddock and use the pre set speed buttons and while it doesn't read the correct speed on the dash, if I look at the speed on the auto steer screen, I can see that the tractor is doing the right ground speed associated with each button. If I adjust the speed with the SV1 & SV2 dials, the tractor responds accutately to the changes.
I'm just wondering why the speed readout isn't working properly, the rest of the tractor seems to be working fine, does the dashboard need repair or replacement or is something else the issue?
Thanks, Nick
Sounds like you have a radar issue. CVT tractors all came with radar, and when equipped, it uses the radar for the speed readout on the dash. It is mounted on the bottom, RH side of the transmission. I have seen the mounts break, and they will swing from the wires and cause issues, or they can fail and become erratic.
However, if yours is stable, but just not accurate, you may just need to do a calibration. I attached the instructions.
