Subject: RE: Palouse questions?

Southeast Washington
Deereskinner's route is a great overview and like Ben says Steptoe Butte is a good overlook of the Palouse. It is a state park and depending how long there they may require you to buy a state park's Discover Pass.

Depending on your time 16 miles further South on 195 from Colfax will take you to Pullman home of Washington State University and 8 miles east of there is University of Idaho is got are interested in any college towns. Highway 27 leaves north out of Pullman to catch a little longer loop. Highway 95 north out of Moscow is going to be later farming area and mountainous ground so not as much farming as highway 27 will be to the west on the Washington side of the border.

Good luck on your daughter's wrestling tournament. There should be farming to see a the reasons have subsided for awhile.

I'm south of Colfax about 70 miles and this is prime farming week for everyone here. We are about 2 weeks ahead of the Palouse and our wheat is way ahead of theirs.

I just stopped spraying and here is a North, South, and West shot from one spot on a ridge. Blue Mountains are to the southeast of me. Snake River to the North and the irrigated Columbia Basin starts about 50 miles West.
