southern MN | We never had a Super Valu but I recognize the brand as we have stores from the same family here, probably the biggest brand around with several store names with it. Hum, maybe ‘Super Valu’ was in smaller letters under the main name of the store….
Used to be a bunch of Piggly Wiggly’s around, not in my location but in the bigger area.
Someone mentioned Red Owl, that used to be every town had one of those, it was perhaps mom’s favorite until they started having poor meat. Was the beginning of the end for them. Something changed and they just had terrible meat quality.
Don’t recognize the other names you mention, they aren’t around here.
HyVee is pretty big in these parts.
Always wondered where the cool names, Red Owl and Piggly Wiggly came from? Wasn’t there also another Owl, like Black Owl too?
