When our daughter was little, about 4 or so, we had to drive by the township cemetery to get home. There was an old building site across the road from the cemetery, about 1/2 mile off the road. Someone moved in there, and put up a mailbox, in front of the cemetery. About a week of passing the new mailbox was enough. She asked mom "Who would send mail to the cemetery?".
Their small, developing brains are always working.
I bet she’d have been a little more questioning if the flag had been up on that mailbox… |
