Subject: RE: Early memorable birthdays

Western Oregon
I spent most of my 6th year in the hospital with a foot injury, took 3 skin grafts. 7th birthday I was in an Iron lung with polio. Grandpa gave me a silver dollar and said as soon as I was able he would take me to Polk County Farmers Coop to get my very own 1/16th 504 Farmall and wagon set. On Febuary 12th 1965 he carried me in and we made a deal on a brand new 656 set, signed a contract, gave the salesman the silver dollar and everything, even shook hands. In 1974 I bought a used 454 IH from Jim, the same salesman....James
