Subject: RE: 15" Soybeans with Tramlines for Sprayer Tracks

Northwest Ohio
Running tramlines in soybeans and wheat behind JD750 drill (7.5" spacing), for about 10 years now. 15' drill, 45' spray boom, shut tramlines off every 3rd pass. Spray with 14.9x46 tires.
Don't actually shut off seed in tramlines, but divert seed to adjacent rows (no reduction in population).
No weed escape issues noticed to date.
Soybeans nearest tramline seem to have slightly greener stems after fungicide pass.
Definitely helps if guy running the drill is the same guy that runs the sprayer (which it is in our case).
Have to be paying attention ... have a manual counter (think ball/strike indicator for baseball umpire) to keep track of every 3rd pass and know when to shut off switch.
