Subject: RE: Educate me on whole house tankless water heaters

Latimer, Iowa (north central)
We have one hog site with a conventional tank water heater and one with a tankless. Hard water. The conventional tank heater is 18 years old and I have done nothing to it. After reading posts here we went tankless with one that’s 10 years old. The tankless has been replaced twice, and just had them out to service it again for another 300 bucks last week. If the office was slightly bigger it would be replaced with a tank one, this summer may build a stand for a tank to finally get rid of the tankless. It also has terrible time regulating. Goes super hot, cold, super hot cold. All they run is a hand sink and shower. I hate the thing and will never install another.

A conventional electric tank water heater is so simple.
