All jokes aside, I fully agree with you. Wife and I have always made it a point to get away. Some of our best strategic planning and refreshing our outlook on life was when we were on a one or two week vacation.
There was one year in the 80's at the depth of the farm crisis that we just could not come up with the money to get away. That was the loooooongest year in our life. We decided to never skip that time off again. We quit soda pop and put the money in a Mason jar to save for next years vacation. We have gotten away ever since. It was important for our sanity.
