SC North Dakota | What you don't understand is we don't sell cows or fat cattle in the store. The nation's cow herd is a part of the equation, not the whole. Somebody should post the chart, but I'm fairly sure after each cattle cycle we've never grown the US cow herd more than the previous cycle high. Meaning we don't need to add huge herd numbers to send prices lower.
As was stated above, each sector needs to make it work. Maybe not all at once, but current economics are not sustainable without a rise in fat cattle. | |
