| My sympathies. I pray that God will bring you peace in the days ahead.
When my dad died my mom found peace in a couple of instances. The day of dad's funeral was a chilly and cloudy January day. When we were leaving the cemetery the sun briefly popped out and shone on the wooden coffin which gleamed in the sun. Mom said, "Look at that, isn't that beautiful." It was like God was welcoming dad home with that ray of sunlight.
A few months later, mom had a dream. In the dream dad was much younger, he was 92 when he passed, and dressed in a suit. In the dream he was receiving an award. As he was going up to get the award he turned, smiled and waved to mom. Then she woke up. She found great peace in that dream, drawing to mind Matthew 25:23. "The Master said, Well done good and faithful servant." | |
