I have the opposite experience. I've had 3 Chevys that were junk. Current daily driver is a 95 F250 with a powerstroke and automatic. Bought from my employer in 04 with 234,XXX miles on it. It now has 325,XXX miles but is rusting away. I paid $2,165 for it. Other than normal items such as tires, brakes, batteries etc, I've spent less than $500 in other parts.

Have a 97 with 271 k on it , worked pretty hard since I had it .
They don't rust here , still see quite a few running around |
