Grower…..I had a similar teacher. Early days of computers, where you had to write your own program to do anything with it. 2 computers in the whole school. Teacher went off about how everyone would own a computer ( got that right) and you would have to know how to write your own programs or you’ll end up digging a ditch for a living.
14 year old mikado said to himself….someone smarter than me is going to come along and standardize everything. We are too lazy to write specific programs for our own needs, we like it quick and easy. Did my teacher ever hear of Henry Ford and an assembly line?
I knew who ever could standardize and sell to the masses was going to be the richest person in the world.
