Used to be a whole slew of jobs and business opportunities were looked down upon up until just recently and teachers, guidance counselors, ect. all used those as a threat to get students to push harder and go to college. Now those "undesirable" jobs are the ones making the big bucks with no, or minimal student loan debt.
Same applied to farming years ago also, a lot of younger people were pushed away from it and now look at the average age for farmers.
