Most pumps have a flapper style check valve in them to prevent the pumps from losing prime… at least the ones I have rebuilt.

We do have a valve between the air line and the pump though.

But also, you don’t need much pressure to blow them out. I have a regulator on my tanker trailer set pretty low, I want to say 35 psi maybe, and it cleans out my 3” hose of 32% just fine.
