If i remember right, load cells and display will be about 6k.

We built ours, using steel decks and beam salvaged from a plant closing.  If I recall correctly we figured that between the electronics, the salvage price steel, the shop labor, and the concrete, we had a bit over 25k in it.  If you used new material it would go up considerably, and if you were building from scratch, the shop time would go up considerably, because ours was about half done before we started welding.  

If you can't survive unless it's certified, all bets are off....probably gonna be north of 80k that way.
