Townsend, Montana | Anyone have some good videos and articles on vitamin D in the human body? I am intrigued but can’t find many answers. Some of the questions I have are:
If I go outside into direct sunlight, how long before my body starts making vitamin D? A minute? 15 minutes? Immediately?
If I have been outside in direct sunlight, does my body continue to make vitamin after I go inside? If so, for how long?
Does surface temp of the skin affect vitamin D production?
I know we store Vitamin D in our fat cells. If our bodies create fat cells when we are not producing vitamin D (winter time, night, overcast days, days in the tractor cab, etc), can those cells later be “stocked” with vitamin D when we are exposed to direct sunlight? | |
