West central IL | I don’t think you understand it or you’d realize how irrelevant it is to compare bushel to bushel carry outs from 40 years ago.
It’s an almost exact equivalent to comparing a Dow Jones market correction of 500 points today (something that wouldn’t work too many people up too bad) to a 500 point correction 40 years ago (Black Monday in 1987 was one of the worst days in Wall Street history).
The context of the numbers matters A LOT. I’m not saying a 2 billion bushel plus carry out is great for corn, but it’s also not a 50% stocks to use carry out. Not even close. | |
