Central ND		I just posted about this very same topic. My accountant has been doing the job for 40 years, and he hates QuickBooks. He suggested Quicken.

Our city used to use Sage, but after a couple of part-time auditors *itching about how hard it was, we switched to QuickBooks.

Your comment about powerful but complex makes me curious. What is so hard to learn and understand?
