New pickups are absurd monstrosities. I have a 2020 Chevy 2500 and I hate it. I am 6' 4" and I can't reach over the truck bed and get anything out. They seem to be designed so you can't see over the hood so you run the risk off running over children. You need to climb up into them and climb down out of them. I bought it to haul anhydrous tanks and to pull a livestock trailer. I have a 2000 pickup that I "use" as a real pickup. It may be a rusted out piece of junk but I can get in and out of it, throw a calf in the back, reach the chainsaws and wire, and actually use it as a work partner.
