It's ok to spend a little money once in a while. This stuff smells great.

Unscented hand lotion was mentioned already. That works, too. It's nice being male and not requiring 17 body care different products.

Edit to add: I like beard balm, too. It's not as messy as oil and I think you get more bang for your buck.
