I am pretty sure I heard the other day that poultry has just replaced dairy as the number one industry in PA.----------------
It has and we have been a part of it for 32 yrs.-- We moved to Franklin Co. Pa. in 1979 [Purchase a Farm in June Of 79] Milked Cows 17yrs. Built our first Turkey barn in 92, 2nd & 3rd in 96 [Cows left in 96] Raised Dairy replacements from 97 to 2011 then Beef till 16 and now all Turkeys in 4 barns + 165ac of crops.
