We put half rate nozzles behind the tires. These can be shut off independently. It works good if your using a spray with residual and don't want weeds in the tire tracks. You have to remember if your doing corners not to back up to the lawn and throw the switch, since this tends to leave evidence for the rest of the year.
I use a tow truck to change out from row tires (skinny) to floats. It works almost to well and I miss it if I don't have one available. I've also been known to tow sprayers, every so often for different customers. This requires knowing how to plumb the hydraulics, so they move without massive heat build up .
My work always tends to throw curves at me, when I least expect it.
