W Texas | Not at all clear that it is infectious. No documentation of fevers, as far as I know.
It actually sounds more like bad feed or feed additive.
So far documented in Texas, New Mexico and Kansas.
I’d be particularly concerned about all these new herbicide tolerant grain sorghum varieties, none having had any animal feed trials to my knowledge. widely planted for the first time in 2023. Condition is showing up in sorghum country shortly after sorghum harvest….. | |
